LACROSSE OBJECTIVES:

Psychomotor:

Students will demonstrate proper form and technique while performing the following skills:

  • Grip
  • Passing and catching
  • Cradling
  • Scooping
  • Shooting
  • Marking
  • Face-off/Draw

Cognitive:

The students will be able to:

  • Know the origins of the game
  • Name the parts of the lacrosse stick
  • Identify critical components of cradling, throwing/catching, scooping, and shooting
  • Understand basic rules (center face-off, scoring, out-of-bounds).
  • Reorganize difference between girl’s and boy’s lacrosse
  • Identify opportunities to play lacrosse

Affective:

The students will:

  • Communicate with peers in a positive and productive manner
  • Exhibit leadership
  • Understand importance of followership
  • Demonstrate accountability for responsibilities to their peers
