Dear Parent/Guardian,
This September, the ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ School ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ will offer two learning models for students in UPK through Grade 12. Families will be able to select whether each student in their household will utilize an in-person hybrid model or a fully remote learning option. This decision is made per student; two students living in the same household can select different learning models. Once this decision is made, it cannot be changed until the end of the first semester (January 29th).
The remote learning option will allow students to learn from home full-time. The hybrid learning model will divide students into two groups, with Group A attending in-person classes on Monday and Thursday, and Group B attending in-person classes on Tuesday and Friday. On the days they are not at school, students will participate in asynchronous learning provided by their teacher. All students will participate in remote learning on Wednesdays.
Self-contained special education students will be in school 5 days per week; all other special education students will follow the hybrid model. ELL students in a sheltered program will be in school 4 days per week; all other ELL’s will follow the hybrid model.
Two additional meetings will be held to provide families with more information about the reopening plan on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at 12 noon and 6 p.m. Questions may be submitted in advance or during each session using the form found here: . In addition to choosing a learning option, parents who plan to send their child(ren) for the in-person hybrid model are being asked to decide whether their student(s) will use the bus to travel to and from school.
At this time, parents and guardians are required to commit to a learning option for each student in their care. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE TO ANOTHER LEARNING OPTION UNTIL AFTER THE FIRST SEMESTER IN LATE JANUARY. Please complete the form at the link below no later than August 21, 2020, at 12 noon. IF YOU DO NOT SELECT A LEARNING OPTION BY AUGUST 21ST, YOUR CHILD WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE ENROLLED IN THE IN-PERSON HYBRID MODEL; YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ALTER THIS SELECTION.
