The Boys Varsity Cross Country Team finished up their dual meet season by crushing Copiague 17-46. The Marauders were led by sophomore Jeffery Reyes, who took first, with Mike O'Donnell, Mike West, and Brandon Cotto taking the next 3 places. Other fine performances were turned in by Anthony Caligure, John Moran, and Giovanni Guayara. This victory comes off the heels of a fine outing at the Manhattan College Invitational this past weekend, held at historic Van Cortlandt Park in NY City. Medal winner Jeff Reyes led the charge with Mike West and Mike O'Donnell running superb races for the Marauders. John Moran, Brandon Cotto and Anthony Caligure also added strong performances. Freshmen Ethan Meyn and Sam Golembeski, took home medals in the Freshman Race. The team will travel to Rhode Island this weekend to compete in the Brown College Northeast Challenge Cross Country Race.

The Boys Cross Country team ran against a powerful West Islip squad on Tuesday, October 1st and turned in some fine performances. Senior Mike O'Donnell led the Marauder attack with his best time of the season, covering the 2.8 mile course in 17:22. He had great support from Sophomores Michael West and Brandon Cotto, along with Juniors Giovanny Guayara, and Anthony Caligure. All raced to personal best times so far this season. The Marauders will next run on Friday at the Tom Knipfing Invitational in Ridge.

The Boys Varsity Cross Country team opened their league season with a disappointing loss to a strong Walt Whitman team. Sophomore Jeffrey Reyes ran one of the fastest times for a ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ athlete in recent years to lead the Marauder attack. Jeff covered the hilly 2.8 mile course at Sunken Meadow State park in 16:30, one of the fastest times of the day. He had strong support from seniors John Moran and Tom Fullerton, as well as junior Noah Craig, and sophomore Brandon Cotto. Sam Golembeski led the Freshman team with a strong performance over the 1.6 mile course at the meadow. The Marauders will travel to Bear Mountain State Park this weekend to compete in the Suffern Invitational.
