Division Championships
The ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Boys had an amazing meet at the Division Championships. We won the team qualifier race with a really big team effort. Aidan Rooney finished 4th overall in the race and first for our division, with a time of 18:06.75. Nolan Kata was right with Aidan, finishing 9th in the race with a time of 18:18.95. Darin Cofield and Perry Balsamo were the next two runners to come in for ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ, with times of 18:23.71 and 18:35.97. Rounding out the top 7 with personal best finishes were William Goode, Jayden Feliciano, and William Kurka. With times of 19:06.93, 19:32.94, and 19:46.54 in that order. It was an impressive performance on a short period of rest from the weekend meet. After all races were merged we would have finished 9th overall out of 53 teams that ran on Tuesday. We beat 10 teams in the championship race and were knocking on the door of the top 4. With out performance our top 7 have qualified for the state qualifier meet at Sunken Meadow. Brian Sankar ran the 4th fastest time of any Freshman at the course with a time of 18:30.92 in the individual qualifier race. I know with some good practices under our belt and some rest we will turn some heads and hopefully send our team to the state meet.
ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Boys - Suffern Invitational @ Bear Mountain
For our first major outing of the season the ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Boys Varsity turned in a 5th place finish at Bear Mountain. Perry Balsamo and Aidan Rooney led the way, both medaling by finishing in the top 24 on a challenging course. Both runners improved on their time from last year, Perry dropped 40 seconds and Aidan dropped almost a full minute off his time! Nolan Kata finished right behind his teammates finishing under 18 minutes. Darin Cofield and Will Kurka rounded out the top 5 running 18:03 and 18:38. For the freshman race Jayden Feliciano had a stellar performance finishing 4th overall! He and Brian Sankar both medaled for the freshman 1.8 course.

5 ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Medals earned this past Saturday! Nolan Kata, Aidan Rooney, and Darin Cofield medaled in the Varsity Boys B race. Nolan finished 19th overall, Aidan finished 27th, and Darin was 29th out of 131 runners participating in that particular race. As a team the varsity boys finished 5th overall, which is amazing considering our captain Perry Balsamo is currently recovering and will be rejoining us shortly. William Goode had an outstanding race as well crossing the line as the 4th ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ runner. William also PB’ed going 19:06 minutes at Sunken Meadow! Not to be outdone. JV had two runners medal. Tyler Hudson and Preston Cotton medaled in the JV race. Overall it was a great step forward in building depth for our team. When we are running on all cylinders and I believe we will have an excellent second half of the season.
